A comment from here: “The largest rain forests in Indonesia and in Brazil are being slashed and burned at catastrophic rates. Indeed one can foresee a day in our lifetimes when there won’t be much left of the Amazon and just a desert in Indonesia. Totally corrupt governments in both places are to blame, but seriously, does anyone in power anywhere really care about that?“
