I hope that when you come back you will regale us with stories of The Flood.
My stories of the flood are restricted to googling for images and reading the Post and the Globe, which regurgitated much of what was on TV.
One pic in the Post, which I can't find online now I'm reconnected, is of the next street, but where it drops down to the Ciliwung and not at our greater elevation.
Much of what I would have said if I'd been online could have been lifted from my February 2007 archives or I could have quoted verbatim from my BBC Radio interview.
This time round, thankfully, Jakartass Towers Redux was one of the very few houses in our street which remained connected to mains electricity – and our previous one wasn't. However, for four days and nights the noise of generators was annoying – not that we could complain if we wanted to be good citizens.
