That's the cry from all those who watched the cycling road race on Saturday, which wasn't, as expected, won by Mark Cavendish and Team Sky GB. Apparently the BBC commentary and lack of other information was not very good. That's a euphemistic understatement which means 'effing awful'.
The commentary, without graphics, was so-so on Star Sports, the Asian part of the Sky empire, but I'm not going to moan about that, partly because I kept looking at the scenery thinking that I'd once walked much of it…
Besides, having got a grasp of tactics and who's who from the Tour de France I was content to watch, somewhat anxious that Wiggins and Co wouldn't catch up with the breakaway. They had crossed "Putney Bridge, no that's Richmond Bridge – no Hampton Court Bridge – with 17kms to go" when we were fed a 'commercial' break telling us what other coverage we'd be privileged to watch on ESPN, ESPN HD and Star – the channel I was watching!.
We were then treated to the sight of short women weightlifters, some stronger than others.
I wish I could moan about the poor commentary, but not seeing the climax of the race was surely much worse!
That Team Sky GB was defeated – unseen in Southeast Asia – by the tactics of other teams and the course should not be something to moan about – but it is.

More quirky offcuts
CNN – talking American visitors through how to fit in to life in London.
"In some bars you may see something called 'Pork Scratchings' for sale. These are not for you."
Here are some quotes and a commentary…
Mitt Romney claimed that he "looked out the backside of 10 Downing Street." No kidding. And this zinger which appeared in his book 'No Apologies' — "England [sic] is just a small island. Its roads and houses are small. With few exceptions, it doesn't make things that people in the rest of the world want to buy."
Mitt Romney is a cold turd laid on the heart of the body politic of the world. An extremely dangerous individual. Just saying.
